Description: 3. A-D Knoll, N side

The challenge here is what is the control description. There is only one knoll and all the controls are on or near the knoll. You must realize that the description “N side” means next to the knoll in the northern direction. A control that is on the knoll, in the northern area, would be described: knoll, N part. “Side” means adjacent to an object which sticks up from the terrain, e.g. “boulder, S side”. “Part” means on the feature, but not in the center of it, e.g. “clearing, E part”.
